Here and There Around New Brunswick

Well it has several months since I have had the chance to sit down and really think about posting something.  It is hard to believe that the last time I posted something was back in April.  Where has the time gone?

This is a picture of the the Gorge in St. George, New Brunswick.  I love photography water in slow motion.  I love how it looks and will never get tired of it.  I try to visit this area whenever i am in the area.
This is a picture of the supports under Darlings Island Covered Bridge, located on the Hammond River just outside of Saint John, New Brunswick.  This river is one of my favorite places to go fishing.
This is Fuller Falls, which is located along the Fundy Parkway, which lies just outside of St. Martins, new Brunswick.  In the fall, this park is an absolutely beautiful place to visit.  The volume of water on the falls varies throughout the year.  Here, like many other places, it has been a relatively dry summer
What can I say, it is a bunch of ropes on a bollard.  This picture was taken in Chance Harbor, New Brunswick.

Spring 2015

It has been almost a month since I have posted any pictures.  The beginning of April, finally brought use some relief from the snow with warmer temperatures, rain and fog.

On April 4, 2015 I was out for a drive in one of the local parks and noticed this huge bird mingling with the ducks .  I really was not sure what it was and as I got closer, it raised its head.  At that point I realized it was an eagle and just stopped the car.  Due to the weather, I had to handhold the camera with the telephoto lens and try to get the picture from the car.  The bird tried to take off a couple of times with its catch, but could not get airborne.

What amazed me is that the remaining ducks with still swimming around no more than 10-15 feet away

The following Saturday, April 11, 2015, Kyle and I went for a trip down the coast with my parents

One thing I love to capture on film is moving water.  In order to get the picture that I wanted, I had to handhold the camera and used two circular polarizing filters to get a 1 second exposure in bright sunlight.

What a Start to 2015

Well what a start to the year.  To think that at the end of January we really had no snow.  Since then we have had storm after storm after storm.  The amount of snow over the past 6 weeks have broken a few records for the area.  With the coming of spring I am going to try to start posting again.

About 3 weeks ago, my father and I went for a walk on a beach near Black River, New Brunswick

A walk down the beach allows you to get up close and personal with a small cliff face.  The recent cold weather result in some spectacular ice formations.

There was lots of little treasures among the rocks in the rocks.

My plans for the rest of the year will be to try to post something on a weekly basis.

52 Week Challenge 2015

Well it is once again that time of the year and I have decided to try the 52 week challenge for 2015.  I have tried this in the past, but was never able to complete the challenge.  I will have a delayed start as a result of a test I need to write by the end of the month.

Week ??? What happened?

Well it has been months since I have a chance to sit down and think about posting.  It has been a long winter and I for one am happy to see it gone.  The snow around here is finally gone and all the kids are out on their bikes.

The past two months I have been studying for a certification test, which I finally passed.  So now, two out of three tests complete.  the final one will like be the harder of the three.  My goal is to try to post on a more regular basis.

Week 3 - Sentimental Journey

Well my choice for week 3 is Sentimental Journey.  The following series of pictures were taken at Hammond River, where I have spent a lot of time over the years.  Usually the water levels are only this high during the early spring.  During this time of the year, this area is usually all ice and snow.
