Day 001: 01 January 2012

Theme:  "...Is In the Details"

I was really drawing a blank with this one, although I had a rough idea but was not sure.  I checked with a good friend who helped me to figure this one out.  This is a picture of some old knotty barn boards as scene from the inside of a covered bridge here in New Brunswick.

Nice start to the challenge...love the texture in the wood, but especially love the light shining through! Welcome to the challenge! :)

Light through Planks Nailed the theme, although not the planks which still seem loose. LOL

A fine start indeed, I love the texture in the knotty boards and the framing contrasted with the light outside.

Are you going to go in order? That would be especially daunting I think...

Love the texture of the wood and this is indeed an excellent choice for this theme.

Love all the details . . . texture, lines, light

Lighting, lines and texture combine to make this an interesting post for the theme.

Love the abstract look to this image, thin slats of light through dark, knotted boards.

This is one that becomes very different enlarged. in the smaller version, it looks abstract; blown up, one can see light shining between the slats. Very cool optical effect.
